Questions to Ask Before Hiring Someone for Your Special Event

What questions should you ask the people that you want to hire for your Special Event?


1. Does the vendor have a business license or at least a DBA registration?

2. How long have they been in business?

3. What professional organizations do they belong to?

4. How many events do they do a year?

5. Do they have a staff or “back-up” in case they become unavailable on your party day?

6. Will they be the person responsible / in attendance on your party day?

7. Are there any additional charges that are not mentioned in their contract?

8. What is their deposit policy?

9. What is their policy on refunds in case of a postponed or cancelled party?
